Hi Everyone! Just thought i should tell you about the book I’m reading. It’s a picture book called Arthur and the Meanies by Jan Fearnley and it’s really cool. It’s all about a lovely elephant and a gang of animals who are mean to him. If I met that gang I’d tell them that they are REALLY stupid. Bullies are stupid, my Mom says. If anyone is mean to you tell an adult! Tell your parents or your teacher or your big sister if you have one. Anyway, the elephant has a lot of trouble with the Meanies but he also has two really good friends who stick up for him. If anyone was mean to my friend Violet Anne I would tell them a thing or two! I hope you get to see this book because it is REALLY cool.

Dad is reading Alice in Wonderland to me this week. It is a great book. Natalie loves it too. My favorite person is The Mad Hatter. Natalie prefers The White Rabbit. I would love to go to the Hatter’s tea party. Wouldn’t you? Have you seen the film? I’m going to wait till Dad’s finished reading the book and then see the film, if someone will take me. It’s my friend Violet’s birthday soon, maybe she’ll take me. Anyway, get the book if you can! It’s really mega-cool.
I went to the library last week and got a really good book. It’s called Library Lion. It was written by Michelle Knudson and illustrated by Kevin Hawkes. it’s all about a lion who like to visit the library. He learns all the rules and has a great time until something terrible happens… Read it and find out the terrible bit. I bet you’ll love it. I love the library. Libraries are cool. That’s what I think.

Mum is reading a great book to me this week. It is called The Witch Baby and Me by Debi Gliori. It’s about a family who get a new baby but the baby is a witch. It is very funny. Another good book about witches is The Witches by Roald Dahl. Natalie hides under the bed whenever she sees it. It’s that scary. Really.

The book about me- Frogs Do Not Like Dragons-is now in the shops. Natalie says it’s her book because she wrote it but it’s all about ME so I say it’s my book. Dad says he’s tired hearing about it. I don’t know why he said that. So far, he’s only read it to me 76 times and one of those times he skipped page 11. Might get Mum to read it tonight. She’s read it 55 times and no skipping. How many times have you read it?

A big hello to second class at The Claddagh National School who came to Dubray Books on Monday to listen to Patricia Forde read about ME in Frogs Do not Like Dragons. Patricia said you were all really cool and great readers. I am a great reader myself. At the moment I am reading the Mr. Gum books by Andy Staunton. They are very funny. What are you reading? Write and tell me! By the way, Dubray now have copies of Frogs Do Not Like Dragons, so go get one!

Hurray! Today is March 1st! Frogs Do not Like Dragons is out today! It’s like a birthday really if the book is ABOUT you. Frogs Do not Like Dragons is all about me. Natalie says it’s a bit about her too. A small bit. Mostly it’s about me and a witch called Rubella and a dragon called Fizz… and a small bit about Natalie. Anyway, Happy Book Day to me!
