Still no word from Fizz the Dragon so still no baby dragon for me. To take my mind off all of that, I did some cooking yesterday. I made some Red Riding Hood Slices. I like food that has a story in it. Don’t you? Try this out and let me know what you think. Natalie and I are going to go on a picnic today and eat the slices with some nice cold milk.
Little Red Riding Hood Slices
Or what was in that basket for Granny!
You will need:
• 1 lb digestive biscuits
• 8 oz margarine
• 8 oz raisins
• 8 oz chocolate
• 1 tin condensed milk
• Plus 8 oz chocolate for the topping
What you do:
1 Catch your R.A. (Reliable adult!)
2. Show the R.A where the microwave is and tell them to put the chocolate in there to melt. Make sure that the R.A is not a wolf in disguise. You can’t be too careful.
3. When the chocolate is beginning to melt add the margarine and melt that too.
4 Now for the wicked bit. Put the biscuits into a plastic bag and crush them by banging with a rolling pin. You can pretend you are bashing a wolf if you like but mind your fingers!!
5. Put the biscuit crumbs into the melted chocolate and margarine. Mix well.
6. Now the R.A can pour in the condensed milk and stir really well.
7. Tip the mixture into a large baking or roasting tray. Flatten it out.
8. Melt another 8oz of chocolate and spread that over the top of the cake.
9.Put the tin in the fridge to cool. This is a cool cake not a hot one!
10.When the cake is set cut it into slices. One for you, one for Granny, one for the Woodcutter….
